Individual Drug Utilization Review - IDUR™

Health Information Designs offers its Individual Drug Use Review (IDUR™) system to address the need to take information about a specific patient and report possible therapeutic difficulties in the drug regimen of that patient. There are many programs available that search for drug-drug interactions, but IDUR goes beyond this to also take other factors into account. These include most importantly, diagnosis, but also include gender, age and pregnancy state.

IDUR can be used to automatically evaluate patient situations and provide a report about situations that might bear further study. For example, if a drug is being taken that is contraindicated for a diagnosis that is present, IDUR will highlight and report the problem so that corrective action may be taken.
