Clinical Pharmacist
Description
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for:
- Managing a population-based system of interventions including suggestion of intervention topics, presenting topics to advisory committee, preparing and mailing intervention letters, and providing a summary of responses and outcomes to the committee
- Authoring, producing and distributing a quarterly newsletter for Medicaid prescribers and pharmacists
- Overseeing an informational and educational program for providers, including site visits to physician offices and pharmacies to provide timely information regarding Medicaid pharmacy policies and changes
- Producing annual reports to show state expenditures on drugs, drug use at high levels and in detail, comparisons of expenditures and drug use to previous time periods, presenting annual report and future intervention suggestions
- Providing on-site training to fiscal agent and state staff on proprietary programs
- Assisting in criteria management by reviewing FDA and other sources for inputs to criteria updates and updating criteria as required
- Attending Drug Utilization Review Board meetings, gather and present materials to client, fiscal agent and DUR Board and work with corporate office to produce deliverables
- Providing clinical support and training to call center staff in support of client initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Current Alabama pharmacy license, PharmD preferred
- Exceptional research, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze cost data and make and support sound recommendations in support of policy development

Business Analyst
Description
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for:
- Performing data analysis to identify statistical outliers, patterns and trends in Medicaid data
- Developing ad hoc queries to evaluate Medicaid claims data
- Evaluating data results to determine if they comply with accepted standards and policies
- Performing literature reviews to identify emerging trends that may identify potential fraud and abuse issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or computer science field
- Analytical skill in evaluating large databases
- Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
- Above average communication skills
- Ability to present and communicate data results and findings in a clear and concise manner
